This textile installation features a video projection onto screen-printed fabrics, inviting viewers to engage with the intersection of classical and contemporary power dynamics. The fabrics serve as semi-transparent veils through which the imagery is perceived, symbolically obscuring and filtering the content, much like power structures themselves. By layering traditional screen-printing techniques with modern digital media, the piece blurs the lines between past and present, encouraging reflection on how power has been constructed and maintained over time. The work explores not only the overt manifestations of power but also the subtler, more insidious forms that operate beneath the surface, both historically and in the contemporary world. Through this interplay of materials and media, the installation questions the nature of authority, control, and resistance, prompting the viewer to reconsider how these forces shape our social and political realities.
